A department in a company is an organizational unit that performs certain functions or tasks within the overall structure of the company. Departments are used to organize and coordinate work tasks and make them more efficient. Examples would be sales, marketing, human resources, etc.

A learning station is the area in the company where a trainee spends a certain period of their training and is taught the learning content associated with this period. These can be viewed at any time in the training plan by clicking on the relevant calendar entry.

💡 While departments represent the organizational structure in the company, learning stations describe the individual areas in the company in which the trainees are taught certain topics.

Assuming a trainee spends a week in the "Video content" learning station, the associated report would first be sent to the person responsible for this learning station during this week. After the content has been checked and approved, the report would then be sent to the master trainer, who would then also check and approve the report again.

You can find out more about the role of "person responsible for a learning station" in the following article: Who is a learning station supervisor?

Further information about who receives which report from the trainees is in this article: Who receives the trainee's report?
